Yep, I'm at it again. I just completed and submitted an application to a class in New Orleans for a week this summer. It's through the GIlder Lehrman Institute of American History. I never knew about these folks before, but I heard some teachers that I worked with last summer in CT talking about it. And a few of them were heading to a Gilder Lehrman Summer Seminar after that workshop was over. I started looking into them when this current school year began. A lot of the offerings looked really interesting, but there was one on New Orleans Jazz that seemed too tempting. I'll find out in a month if I was accepted.
Another deadline looms as well. I'm going to apply to another NEH session, possibly two. Could be an enriching summer full of new opportunities and learning!

I had a great day today at the BMA. I was invited to be a part of the Visual Arts Leadership Cadre for the HCPSS. I really didn't know what to expect at all. But it was a great meeting. We discussed the show schedules and professional development for next school year. In addition we had the chance to air any concerns, questions, or successes. Overall it was a great meeting, and a wonderful day...
